Alfred Sydney Nightingale immigrated to St. John, New Brunswick from Eastcote, England in 1912. His wife and family came later in 1914.. The family settled in Strathclair, Manitoba and in 1923 moved to Okla, Saskatchewan in 1923. After the death of his wife Mercy Jane Ashby in 1941, Alfred moved to Amisk, Alberta where he married Miss Vadie Street on October 22, 1941.
