Dear James,

Thank you for your well researched and informative website. Through it I have learnt of one of my grandfather's uncles and of his cousins.
My paternal grandfather was William Baillie Laing who was born in West Calder, West Lothian, Scotland 25 October 1899. His parents were Alexander Laing,born 6 June 1855, and Jane Middleton. Alexander's parents were John Laing b. 1823 and Robina Baillie (1825 - Dec 1896)
William Baillie Laing immigrated to New Zealand in the 1920's with his wife and two young sons. My father was born here in 1930.
