note: the George Kennedy mentioned on the Cobourg census of 1861(film C1054, page 75, age 8) is for sure the same George Kennedy also picked up on the S. Monaghan census also of 1861 (film C-1055, page 21, age 7) who happened to be visiting William Anderson and wife Ellen who I suspect is his great aunt. quote : "George Kennedy, age 7 , residence Cobourg". It is a pity that mother Julia is a widow. It will make it harder to trace back one more Kennedy generation to where I suspect we will find a John Anderson , the missing brother to Catherine and Ellen or "Helen" Kennedy. jca
A search of the census records for Cobourg for 1861 found only a very few Kennedy's in the quite sizable town. No other Kennedy match was even interesting. jca .
