1840, christening of Andrew Buchanan Fraser, 3 Sept 1840, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
This is the ONLY birth or christening of an Andrew Fraser in Glasgow, that shows up in the Scottish Church Records at the LDS family history files that is anywhere near close to the calculated birth date of 1840 in Glasgow that was indicated from the 1881 census record of Andrew Fraser and Mary and children in Glasgow. As well, note that Andrew and Mary Fraser named one of their children Alfred CUNNINGHAM Fraser. According to the Scottish Church Records, Andrew Buchanan Fraser had an older brother named CUNNINGHAM Buchanan Fraser. This would then be a very good fit for Andrew Buchanan Fraser to be the Andrew Fraser, father of Catherine Louise Henderson Fraser. note by jca
