re John Moncrief and Catherine Anderson:

This John is not one of the Moncrief twins from South Monaghan. His
father was William Moncrief who was one of Hugh & Elizabeth Moncrief's
sons. Ann Jane Moncrief that married Daniel Anderson is most likely a
2nd cousin once removed to John Moncrief husband of Catherine Anderson
but I have not been able to prove the exact connection.

Hugh Moncrief of South Monaghan had a large family and Arthur Moncrief
of Cavan had about 6 children that I know of and Ann Jane's father
David Moncrief was one of them. All of Arthur's children were born in
Ireland and all of his grandchildren in Ontario.

Does any of this help? Thanks for the 1900 census information does it
give the ages of the children also as I didn't have this before?
