Dear Jim,
Awesome information, although I think actally Alice Robbins might have stretched the truth a little. Her husband wasn't really dead and she wasn't a widow but certainly that's what the family would have said at the time. As far as the family was concerned he died in 1924 when he abandoned his family and Alice and Gladys moved to Vancouver. They never had anything further to do with him or our family till we found them just under a year ago. I located Gladys through her Aunt in Bristol, England.

George married Alice Elizabeth Harris, daughter of George Edwin Harris and Mary Elizabeth Hood. (Alice Elizabeth Harris was born on 7 Jul 1880 in Holwells, Bristol, England ^{1596,1599,2517} and died on 4 Sep 1965 in St. Pauls Hospital, Vancouver, B.C. ^1599,2517.)
