Mrs. John A. Moore

Port Hurron - Mrs. Elinor V.
Moore, 59, of 4114 Gratiot Avenue, died
Thursday in Port Huron Hospital after a
short illness.
Mrs. Moore was born June 8, 1915, in
Kinde, and lived in Port Huron for 58
years.
She was a graduate of Port Huron
High School; attended Ward-Belmont
College, Knoxville, Tenn.; was a
member of Chi Omega Sorority; Mystic
Chapter No. 58, O.E.S.; and the National
Federation of Republican Women; the
Museum of Arts and history, the Port
Huron Historial Society; the Ladies
Library Association; the Port Huron
Hospital Auxiliary and First United
Methodist Church.
She and John Arch Moore were
married on July 29, 1939, in New York.
She is survived by her husband; a son,
John Arch Moore III, Fort Lauderdale,
Fla.; two daughters, Miss Viki Anne
Moore, Grand Rapids, and Miss Pati L.
Moore, Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother,
Floyd L. Mortimer.
Remains are in Karrer-Simpson
Funeral home where funeral services
will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday; Rev.
Harry R. Weeks, associate pastor of
First United Methodist Church, will of-
ficiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Bladts will be pallbearers
