Marriages June qtr, 1849 Cheltenham, vol 11, page 275
A search of the 1841 census indicates that there may only have been two persons named Harriet Lamb in Cheltenham. (the wife and daughter of John Lamb ) so it looks like the 1849 marriage would be worth purchasing. jca
The 1861 census of 64 Duke Street in Cheltenham give us a clue.. (remember Harriet Elizabeth Lamb was living at that address at the time of her marriage two years earlier in 1859) NOTE: 1861 census for the address of 64 Duke Street, Cheltenham district 2, page 26-27 William Hill, Head, married, male, age 46, Labourer, born Gloucestershire, Hemley? Ellen ", daughter, unmarried, female, age 14, born Cheltenham Eliza ", daughter, unmarried, female, age 7, born Cheltenham Allein? ", daughter, unmarried, female, age 3, born Cheltenham and... Thomas Barnett, Lodger, widower, male, age 79, Labourer, born Gloucestershire, Whittington ( I strongly suspect that Harriet (Barnett) Lamb remarried in 1849 to William Hill and that the Thomas Barnett living at 64 Duke Street in 1861 is Harriet's father.) Harriet's father being Thomas Barnett would agree with some family research done on the Lamb and Barnett family posted on the LDS IGI files. _______________________ The 1871 census of Cheltenham confirms wife of William Hill is Harriet, age 52, born Cheltenham
