  Research Notes:

My records also indicate that Mary Ellen Jervis Dawley died 26 Aug 1914, in
Monroe, Snohomish, Wa.She was living with her daughter Mary Abigail Dawley
Heintz at the time. The next time I am up that way I plan to stop in to see
if I can find out what cemetery she is buried in. I have a collection of
Dawley headstones from Washington State I want to add it too.

Here is a note I found in an unknown authors tree.
Note: John and Mitte had a daughter, Mabel. Also a son, I think. Mabel was
raised in a Catholic orphanage and stayed on working in the orphanage as an
adult. In her 40's she came to Spokane to visit us, her relatives she had
never seen. Here, at a dance, she met and married "Mr. Arnold", as she
always called him. He was an elderly gentleman, and his children were not
too happy about the marriage, but Mabel took good care of him, and I believe
they were happy.

I ran this out and found that Mabel married Emanuel E Arnold in 1949 in
Spokane. Mabel died 20 Sep 1989 in Spokane. Emmanuel died 17 Feb 1965 also
in Spokane. I verified all of this through the Washington State Digital
archives.

Mary married Ashley Thomas Dawley on 24 Dec 1863 in Winneshiek County, Iowa. (Ashley Thomas Dawley was born in Apr 1840 in New York ^{1705,1891,1892,2794,2795} and died in 1911.)
