bullet Research Notes:

1. My uncle Vernon Anderson died in the spring of 1944, shortly after I was
born. He was serving as a medic in WWII and was killed during a beachhead.
His body was returned to Grafton sometime in 1947, I think. I remember
being at his funeral, but I was around 3 years old at the time and it's
fairly hazy. He's buried in the family plot up there.
