I am a descendant of Joseph Anderson and I was
showing this site to my parents (Todd Johnson and Linda Bates [Now Linda
Johnson; they were married on June 10th, 1977]) just now. They pointed out
a mistake in the name of my grandfather, Marcus Olo Bates-- the site lists
him as "Orlo" but there shouldn't be an R. It's just Marcus Olo Bates. He
passed away on May 9th, 1995.

My dad's middle name was Olo, not Orlo, but most people knew him as
Pete. His parents called him that all of his life (after one half of a team
of mules they owned when he was a child). Probably no mule ever spawned
could out-stubborn Dad. He was born in Cherry Ridge, Arkansas.
