Hello Mr. Anderson:
My name is Carol Neidrauer, I am the 4th great grandaughter of John Winch, son of Samuel Winch and Elizabeth Maynard. My Winch line forms from Richard Winch, the son of John Winch and Lydia Mann (or Alecia Dudley?)
My mother Joyce Dawson from Trail, B.C., and several of my aunts seem to recall the name Alecia Dudley and that perhaps she is the actual mother of Samuel and Richard. Thus John would have married 3 times.

I have not been able to find any concret information regarding Alecia Dudley but the name does hand itself down in the family.
John, Lydia, Jane and several of their children are buried in the Mann Cemetery, in Keswick, Ontario.
