Note the granddaughter of John and Esther Thornton, being Fanny Thornton, age 22 on the 1891 census , age 12 on the 1881 census ( born Brampton Brian, Herefordshire) , and possibly age 5 on the 1871 census.
Judging by the age of Fanny it would seem very likely that she is the daughter of Elizabeth Thornton, who would have been about 18 at the time of the birth of Fanny. (born about 1868 or so)
