(note by jc anderson. A search of N.Y. localities does not turn up Jacllet Harbour, however, further research of N.Y census records indicate that there is a Sackets Harbour in Jefferson county, N.Y. The 1820 and 1830 census records show a Horace Sal(i)sbury residing in Jefferson County, Pamelia twp (1820) and Ellisburgh twp (1830). My conclusion is that the birthplace of James Henry Salisbury is likely Sackets Harbour, Jefferson County, N.Y...
The 1840 census indicates at least one Salisbury living in Sackets Harbour. J.V. Salisbury. note dated Sept 16, 2002)
