November 18, 2004, added the 1860 census record of the family of Thomas and Jane Fee of Pleasant, Steuben County, Indiana , which includes John Fee and six younger siblings, all born in Ohio except for the two youngest children. Added the 1850 census record of the family of Thomas and Jane Fee residing in St. Joseph twp, Williams County, Ohio
October 14, 2004, added the parents and siblings to Cyrus J Fee and of Emma May Douglas both of Steuben County, Indiana as per the 1880 census records of that county. Added the 1870 census record for the John and Sarah Fee family of Pleasant, Steuben, Indiana. Added the 1870 census for the Stephen and Lucy Douglas family , farmers in York twp, Steuben County, Indiana.
Feb 25, 2004, added the 1906 census records from Selkirk region of Manitoba for the Kula and Malko families.
April 15, 2003, the 1911 census films for Cairncastle finally arrived and were examined to find that Hugh Harkness and his wife Margaret (Crawford) Harkness had moved on somewhere, however Hugh's parents, Wilson and Maria Harkness were still in Cairncastle as were Hugh's brothers John and Samuel. Wilson Harkness was still described as a landsteward. Brother Samuel was living with his parents at age 27, while brother John at age 37 has a family of his own with wife Sarah (age 34) , and two children Wilson and John Carson Harkness, ages 7 and 2. John Harkness was employed as an "engine fitter at works". It would appear that Hugh's sister Martha who was alive on the 1901 census has died as Maria Harkness states that although she had 4 children, only 3 were still alive in 1911. Martha did not show up on the 1911 census in Cairncastle.
Margaret's father James Crawford was still farming in Cairncastle but her mother Grace has passed away since the 1901 census. Margaret's sister Lizzie is living with their father and is still unmarried.
March 1, 2003, located the Wilson and Mariah Harkness family (inc. Hugh Harkness) on the 1901 census of Cairncastle, Larne, Co. Antrim, Ireland. located the James and Grace Crawford family (inc. Maggie Crawford) on the 1901 census of Cairncastle, Larne, Co. Antrim, Ireland. Added all details into database.

Jan 7, 2003, requested by fax , the marriage registration of Hugh Harkness and Margaret Crawford, dated about 1904 in County Antrim. Expect 2-3 week delivery.
Jan 6, 2003, The 1901 and the 1911 census records were searched for Glenwhirry Parish , County Antrim, Ireland, without any sign of the families of Harkness or Young or Crawford. The 1911 census for town of Larne had earlier been searched with many Harkness and Crawford residents noted but the neither Hugh Harkness nor his wife Margaret ( Crawford) Harkness was registered in Larne town. The earlier census records such as 1881 were burned in a 1922 fire. The 1901 census for town of Larne, County Antrim has yet to be examined.

Sept 13, 2002. Added James and Catherine Kilbreath as the progenitors of the Kilbreath families in Ontario. Added the Michigan 1880 census records of the Kilbreath families . They all came from Canada and appear to be the next generation earlier that James and Catherine Kilbreath.
Sept 12 2002, Received the Clarke side of the Kilbreath family via a gedcom file from Len Kilbreath of Vernon, B.C.. Merged it successfully into the Harkness and Kilbreath database and uploaded all to web site which now comprises 297 family individuals.
Sept 11, 2002, found the 1861 census record for Thomas and Elizabeth Whipps in Whitby, Durham County, Ontario with their 4 children including Georgina, age 11.

May 8, 2002, located the death registration for Margaret May (Campbell) Kilbreath, 1957 in Merritt, .B.C. and noted that both her parents were named.
May 6, 2002, located the 1881 census records in Ontario for Rueben Kilbreath (born abt 1837) and also his brother George Kilbreath (born abt 1843).

April 23, 2002, located the 1904 Ellis Island immigration record for the Malko family as they came through New York enroute to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Transcribed that portion of the ship's manifest and entered data into the database.
April 17, 2002, interview with Barrett Malko of Silver Spring, Maryland, who has visited the towns in Poland that the Malko and the Mozel families came from in 1904 and who has extensively documented the Malko family history.
April 17, 2002, interview Mrs. Antonia (Malko) Magura again, She now remember the town in Europe that the Mozel family came from. She spelled it Milkiw. She confirmed that Lawrence Kula had brothers Anton and Steve which validates the 1901 census record for the family. She confirmed that her parents Metro Malko and Ann (Mozel) were married in Europe and came to Canada with 4 children. Antonia gave me a further lead on a nephew who has done a great deal of research on the family.

She says
she is 90 years old and is the sister to Katherine (Malko) Kula
who married Lawrence Kula, and that her parents were Metro Malko
and Ann Mozel. Her brothers and sisters were Nettie, Annie, Fred,
Steve, and Mary as well as Katherine. She said that Metro Malko
came to Canada from Europe (unknown locality) in 1904 along with
his mother Mary.. Metro's father died in Europe prior to coming
to Canda. Metro also had a brother Petro and a brother John who
also came to the area near Winnipeg. John died early but Petro
(Peter) and Metro are both buried in the Sapton cemetery.
Katherine (Kula) Malko died Apr 1, 1924, while Metro Malko died
Jan 4, 1947 and his brother Petro Malko died Dec 11, 1956., Ann
(Mozel) Malko died Jan 26, 1957
April 13, 2002, located a valuable source book for the family titled "Springfield, 1st Rural Municipality in Manitoba" , copyright 1974, published by the Dugald Women's Institute of Dugald, Manitoba. This historical book has several references to the Malko and the Kula families of Springfield R.M. in Manitoba around the turn of the last century. (1898-1911)
April 9, 2002, located and entered the death registration information for Mr. John Harkness and his wife Irene (Thompson) Harkness, both previously of Oliver, B.C. which provided the name of Irene's parents and a brother Thomas. The death reg for John Harkness indicated his birth date (1908) and the names of his parents, (Hugh Harkness and Maggis Crawford)
