Ann
- Marriage: Edward Williams
Research Notes:
Hi! Jim,
Regarding the census you sent of Llanbadamfawr, Maureen had Edward Williams and two sons living there, but no address. Edward, as you see, was widowed. His wife Ann died in the fourth quarter of 1867 at Aberystwyth (if the search is correct). We know it is the right Williams because one of our grandfather's brothers was Arthur Roderick, and also because we are related to a Lloyd family on the Williams side. Our grandfather's cousin, Violet Lloyd, was either married to, or acted on stage with, Stanley Lupino, Ida Lupino's father. We were always told she was our grandfather's cousin, but that has never been confirmed.
Edward Williams was christened Apr. 17, 1832 at Llanbadarnfawr. His father was Thomas and his mother, Ann.
Unfortunately, only our grandfather and one brother, David, married and had children and both came to Canada. The fourth brother, Reginald, was killed in W.W.1. Florence, (2004)
Ann married Edward Williams, son of Thomas Williams and Ann. (Edward Williams was born about 1832 in Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, Wales 405,583 and was christened on 17 Apr 1832 in Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, Wales 582.)
