Note that as per the 1881 census shown below, that after the death of Robert Shortess and Bridget (Keating) Shortess and of Bridget (O'Dey) Shortess, two of their children (James and Christiana Shortess) are now living with their uncle Patrick and aunt Margaret (Fitzgerald) Keating. jca

Two other children (Mary and Robert) are living with the aunt Marguerite (Shortess) and uncle Octave Julien family in 1881.

and Mary Ann Kennedy daughter of the late
