June 5, 2013, With the kind assistance of the Rector of the Vale Parochial Church in Guernsey, U.K., we now have determined that Charles Gerald Hope Dyson and his wife Edith Kelly did not have any children which ended this limb of the Dyson tree. However, we were able to fill in some of the details of the ancestry and family of Edith (Kelly) Dyson. (Edith died 31 July, 2010 ,age 86 in Guernsey and is buried in the Castel Cemetery along with Charles G H Dyson)

June 13, 2012, added more details of the family of John and Eliza Mitchell, (census records 1871-1891) in light of the affirmation that the husband of Ada Mary Dyson was one and the same person as Joseph Mitchell of Merriott, Somersetshire, born April 14, 1876 and went to Cambridge University as Joseph Derek Leslie. The question remains : How did the son of an agricultural labour find the finances to attend and graduate from Cambridge.. Perhaps a well deserved scholarship ?

August 22, 2010: After some considerable effort, cousin Maureen located our missing Fritz Morad on the 1911 census at the same address as he gave at the 1912 marriage to Alice Allsop. (195 St. George Street, St George in the East, London. He showed as "Fred Morrad", single male, age 36, occupation Baker and born in Germany living as a boarder with another family.

Located and added two transatlantic voyages for the remaining sibling James Seabrook Dyson, once with his wife Effie in 1939 on the "Scythia", Liverpool to New York, and later by himself in 1946 on the "Manchester Commerce" , Manchester to Montreal. January 19, 2010, added many exta details of some of the descendants of Captain Richard Lane Bayliff and his wife Henrietta Peel. Started to add extensive baptismal records for the Bayliff and Vye families.

January 18, 2010, retreived a half dozen or so B.C. birth-marriage and death registrations of the Bayliff families from the local library and transcribed them into our database. Spent a few hours locating and transcribing various Bayliff census, marriage and birth records of England for the family and ancestors of Hugh Peel Lane Bayliff, his father Captain Richard Lane Bayliff and one more generation back to Thomas Timothy Lane Bayliff, Vicar of Albury, Hertfordshire .

January 18, 2010, After a very informative telephone interview with Mrs. Antony Bayliff (nee Barrie Boucher) of Chilancoh Ranch , near Alexis Creek, B.C. was able to fill in some of the missing gaps of the connection between James Seabrook Dyson, (1899-1988) , his sister Dorothy Dyson, (1904-1994) and the Bayliff and Newton families of the Chilcotin area of B.C.

The Shortes and Keating links prove out the 1881 census which shows two of the Shortes children living with Patrick and Margaret Keating in Quebec as their parents of Robert Shortes and Bridget (Keating) Shortes had died a few years earlier. November 24, 2007, Located the file numbers at the Canada National Archives for the land applications for both Arthur Dyson and Gerald Hope Dyson as part of the Volunteer Bounty Act of 1908 with reference to Soldiers of the South African War (1899-1902). Ordered both of these files from the National Archives as of this date.

November 22, 2007, With the results in of further research of the family of James Dyson of Hoxton, his second marriage was added. ( to Susannah Noden), 1789, St. Mathew's, Bethnal Green). The children of this new union were added which very closely matched the later 1835 will of Bathsheba Dyson, a daughter of his first marriage.

November 22, 2007, located Gerald Hope Dyson and Dora Christian Dyson (wife?) on the 1924 Electoral Rolls of Victoria, Australia. Also located many records of his cousins that were descended from William Henry Dyson (and Letitia Done) on the same Electoral Rolls dating from 1909-1936. Added numerous birth, marriage and death registrations of these families from the Victoria BMD indexes.

December 9, 2004, At long last, finally broke open the puzzle surrounding the family of William Allsop, father of George Allsop and occupation "foreman" as per marriage of George Allsop and Keturah Trueman. In 1871, 1881, and 1891, William and his wife Sarah were living in Saxilby, Lincolnshire, where William was the foreman of the local manure processing plant. By 1901, Sarah is a 57 year old widow but has the company of 15 year old Mary Ann Allsop (Ruth's great aunt), the older sister to Alice Allsop.

These marr registrations could now be ordered to properly ascertain the names of spouses and the exact marriage details. GRO vol and pages are posted to the appropriate names and all marriages occured in the reg district of Worksop, Notts.

With the assistance of the 1901 census records confirmed the spouses of these Trueman marriages with the exception of the 1902 marriage of Alice Trueman.

Added a second husband (Anthony Hugh Baldwin) and two more daughters for Emily Seabrook (Dyson) as per 1898 marriage in Kensington. It appears that Mabel Seabrook Dyson married in Kensington (1892), Keith David Erskine (1863-1914) so ordered a copy of the marriage registration to confirm this.
