notes by JC Anderson: In researching the family structure for the Myers family, the keys that were found to be useful were the stated residence of Lillie (Lilly) Myers on her marriage registration in 1886. It stated that her residence was Weston Point (which is in Cheshire) and that her father was George Myers. The marriage took place at the Parish Church of Runcorn, Cheshire. A search of the 1881 census records for Weston in Runcorn, Cheshire found only the one George Myers family. The ages of the children present allowed for Lillie Myers to fit in an available age slot between the Emma Myers and younger brother Arthur Myers. Also, note the presence of older brother Frederick Myers, age 22 on the 1881 census. This is the same name as a witness to the marriage of Lillie Myers in 1886.

Another search of the 1881 census records for Lillie Myers turned up 17 year old Lilly Myers living in Bury, Lancashire and working as a General Domestic Servant and sharing a residence with Ellen Scraggs. That census record indicates that Ellen Scraggs (50 years old in 1881) may be the aunt of Lilly Myers.

Also, note that the birth place of Lillie Myers as stated on the 1881 census (Birkenhead, Cheshire) is exactly the same as the slightly older Emma Myers who is still living with the family in 1881 in Weston in Runcorn, Cheshire.

All these items taken together indicate that there isnt any doubt that the family of George and Emma Myers in Weston in Runcorn, Cheshire is the correct source for the Lilly Myers who married John William Dockrey in 1886 at the local parish church of the same place.
