Bob was born in Vancouver, BC in 1943 and moved to Kelowna in 1949. After attending grade 1 through 13 in the Rutland and Kelowna school systems, he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1962. His first postings as a new police officer were in southern Alberta. During this period, Bob married high school sweetheart Lynda, in 1965. By 1971 there were two children, Mark in 1968 and Shelley in 1970. In 1971 the family was transferred to north eastern Alberta and then to Edmonton in 1973. Bob went to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology for post secondary Electronics Engineering Technology and in 1977 was transferred to our Nation's Capital, Ottawa, for a 3 year posting (which turned out to be 12 years). 1989 saw the family transferred to Vancouver on the "Wet" coast of Canada where Bob retired as ![]()
