MRS. ANDERSON DIES IN HOOPLE
Veteran Glenwood Township Woman Came to Walsh County in 1881
Mrs. William Anderson, 73, since 1881 a resident of Glenwood township in Walsh County, died at 8:30 a.m., Monday in her home in Hoople following a lingering illness of several years' duration. A cold contracted a week ago and heart disease prompted her death. The funeral was conducted yesterday in the Woodmen Hall in Hoople with Walter Jardine officiating. Burial was in the Hoople cemetery. Born Elizabeth Wood in Ontario, Canada, July 22, 1861, Mrs Anderson spent her early life and was educated in that vicinity before coming to North Dakota. She resided for a time in Pembina County before coming to Walsh in February, 1881. Her parents were William and Ann Wood. She was married to William Anderson in Park River, January 26, 1887. Children surviving are Wilford and Frank Anderson, Hoople, and Mrs. Al Rustan, Nash. One brother, Jack Wood, Hoople and two sisters Mrs. John Rylance, Langdon, and Mrs. G. F. Bennett, Rhinelander, Wisconsin also survive. Five brothers are dead. ____________________________________________________________________
