Regarding 5616 (5607):
This information is NOT correct. Richard's son, William, was born in
1832 and died in 1904. He married Margaret Smithson in 1858. They did,
however, have a daughter named Sarah among their nine children. There son,
William Smithson Rutherford is the father of the Margaret Davidson who lived
in Ottawa. I received lengthy letters from Margaret in the late 80's before
she passed away. She was a lovely lady, and wrote at length about the
Rutherford history in the South Monaghan area. Her information and much of
the documented evidence that she provided me, helped to dispel many of the
errors that Silas had in his information. He did the best he could, I'm
sure, but it was quite a mess to untangle a lot of things.
