Name
Mary Jane SALLISS, Head,
Ellen MARSH, Neice,
[note by jca.. additional census records indicate that the above Mary Jane Salliss is likely the wife of Elijah Sallis, a publican in 1871 and a tailor in 1881 in Cheltenham)
A search of marriage indexes on FreeBMD indicate that Elijah Sallis married Mary Jane Barnett in June qtr of 1859, in Cheltenham, vol 6a, page 700.
[It now appears that Ellen Marsh's grandmother was Harriet Barnett.. and Mary Jane (Barnett) Salliss was the elder sister of Harriet Lamb and born prior to the marriage of their parents]
