2 Cripps, Herbert, interview, Oct 31, 2001, Jan 5, 2003, Herbert Cripps, Kamloops, B.C. The interview of Herbert Cripps on October 31, 2001 confirmed the following :
1: That the name Noble was one of his ancestors.. see the middle name of one of his brothers

2: That he had an uncle William Townsley, but didnt believe that there were
any other uncles. Wiliam had 3 sons, Lloyd who died young, Wayne and Harold. They all lived in Edmonton, AB. An uncle named George was not familiar to Herbert.

3. That he had two aunts that were Townsley girls.. One was called Lizzie and was the wife of a Mr. Croker from Ontario. She never came out west.

4. That the other aunt was named Jennie and married Tom Westover from the lower mainland here in B.C.

5. The Cripps and the Townsley families knew each other from the time when they all lived in Muskoka area of Ontario (Parry Sound)

Townsley, Maria, age 36, b. Ontario, parents both born Scotland

William, age 10, born Ontario
Maria,age 9, b. Ontario
Jeannie, age 5, b. Ontario
Milla, age 2, b. Ontario

(note by editor.. it would appear that the age of 47 given here is likely incorrect as the age given in the 1881 census was only 32 as was his wife Maria, age 22. son George (now thought to be actually William was age 1. jca)
