Cause of his death was Bilateral lobar pneumonia. General Notes: Earl came with his parents to Spokane in 1905-6, and was a student living with his parents at 1122 Providence in 1908. In 1909 his family moved to the Ione area and he remained in Spokane, his address the Granite Block on the southwest corner of Washington and Riverside. In that year Fowler Methodist Church first appears in the Spokane Directory and was where he courted future wife, Charlotte. In 1910 he was employed as a helper at Doer Mitchell Electric Co. where he worked for 3 years. In 1913 he is not listed and may have gone to Ione. In 1914 he was back in Spokane and employed as a clerk with R.M.S. (Railway Mail Service). He remained in government service as a Railway Mail Clerk until the time of his death. Noted events in his life were: • Occupation, Between 1914 and 1937, Certified Clerk, U.S. Railway Mail Service. 3056 • Occupation, 24 Jan 1913, Certified As Substitute Clerk With Railway Mail Service. 3057 Earl married Charlotte Dolores Bursell, daughter of George Franklin Bursell and Lydia Elizabeth Winch, on 17 Feb 1915 in Spokane, Washington. (Charlotte Dolores Bursell was born on 3 Apr 1893 in Prosper, Fillmore Co, Minnesota, died on 6 Dec 1989 in Colville, Stevens Co., Washington and was buried after 6 Dec 1989 in Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane WA.) Marriage Notes: Earl and Lottie were married at the home of Lottie's parents at 607 W. Providence in Spokane. |
