note by compiler .. the census taker on the 1901 census carefully wrote the name Charles "E" for both father and son as an correction. Later research of the marriage and birth registrations indicate the name should be Charles Henry. It is likely that the census taker mistakenly added the "E" to bother son and father. The father should have read "Duggan, Charles H" as in Charles Henry Duggan as the the baptismal record of his son Charles Edward Duggan in 1887 at St. James Anglican, Toronto.
