Austin Hilditch reports that he has the marriage details from the Parish Registers for
William Allsop and Mary Ann Lilley, married 21st January, 1838, in Worksop, Notts.
"I have not found this marriage in the General Record Office index, but have not tried hard, I have all the details from the parish register of the Prior Church, Worksop.
The entry shows William Allsop to have been a minor, a bachelor, and a sawyer, living at the Common Worksop, his father Thomas was a labourer.
Mary Ann Lilley was also a minor, a spinster, and a servant, living in Norfolk Street. Her father was William Lilley, a joiner.
The marriage took place in the Priory Church, Worksop. Witnesses were William Lilley, and Elizabeth Lilley."

In 1861 four of Ann’s children with William Allsop are living with them. William Allsop’s wife was Mary Ann Lilley They married in Worksop 21st January 1838. Both were minors, William a sawyer, father Thomas Allsop.

I am a grandson of Mary Ann Allsop, born 1869, daughter of William Allsop and Sarah Parker. Mary Ann married Edward Parman 1892, Grace their daughter was my mother.
Mary Ann living with Sarah Allsop in 1901, shown on your web site as daughter was her granddaughter, age 15. Sarah died 1919, and is buried in Saxilby. William died, while on holiday in Skegness, 1893, of cholera.
His father, William, also died of cholera, but in 1850 in Worksop.
