Sir John Friend/Robinson was the son of the Revd. William Friend, Dean of Canterbury and Grace dau. of William Robinson. They had another son, the Revd. William Maxilmilian Friend, whose daughter, Deborah m. Henry Flower, 4th Viscount Ashbrook and was mother of Henry op.cit. and Caroline, who m. as his second wife Henry Every and was mother of Sir Henry Flower Every, who m. Mary Isabella, a third daughter of Edmund and Isabella Hollond!

Mary married Sir Henry Flower Every.
