William Pickering
(Abt 1821-1876) |
William Pickering 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Cause of his death was Probably Disease of Heart.15 General Notes: 1871 census, Penrith, Cumberland, England Research Notes: So far , (as of May 2006), the search of the 1851 indexed census records of Scotland have failed to turn up the family of William and Hannah Pickering with young children. ... perhaps they show up in England on the 1851 after all..?? jca but a thorough search of the 1851 England census, fails to find them as well.. Did they miss the 1851 entirely?? I am quite convinced that this family was missed by the 1851 census.... jca Noted events in his life were: • Occupation: Railway Clerk, 1845, Penrith, Cumberland. 19 • Residence: Crown Square, 1861, Penrith, Cumberland. 20 • Occupation: General Clerk, 1861, Penrith, Cumberland. 20 • Occupation: Wool Stapler and Weigh Master, 1871, Penrith, Cumberland. 10 • Residence: #1, Horse and Farrier Yard, 1871, Penrith, Cumberland. 10 • Occupation: Woolstapler, 1876, Penrith, Cumberland. 15 • Residence: King Street, 1876, Penrith, Cumberland. 15 • Occupation: Weighman, public scales, 1876, Penrith, Cumberland. 23 • Probate: to Hannah Pickering of Penrith, 4 Dec 1877, Carlisle, Cumberland. 23 William married Hannah Hudson, daughter of John Hudson and Elizabeth Nanson, 1844 ? approx? in Cumberland?. (Hannah Hudson was born about 1826 in Penrith, Cumberland 10 18 20 22 24 25, christened on 5 Feb 1826 in Penrith, Cumberland 22 and died on 11 Jul 1889 in Penrith, Cumberland 18 23 24.) The cause of her death was Heart Failure.15 Marriage Notes: Searched the GRO indexes from 1842- 1848 looking for any William Pickering or Hannah Hudson marriage registered in Penrith at this time.. Not even one found....(Dec 7, 2004) so maybe they eloped??. or married prior to 1842? |
