Mrs. Asel Winch

Mrs. Asel Winch, longtime resident of Prosper and vicinity, died Sept 14th, at the home of her son Earl, four days after reaching her sixty-eighth birth anniversary. Tho she had not been well for some time, the immediate cause of her death was a stroke.
Anna Francis Bursell was born in Elliota, September 10th, 1867, the oldest daughter of Thomas and Alviria Bursell. On December 31, 1884, she was united in marriage with Mr. Asel Winch and they made their home in Prosper. Mr. Winch preceded his wife in death less than two years ago, October 10, 1933.
Mrs. Winch was a member of the M. E. church and was always active in all of the church organizations.
Five children are left to mourn here loss, namely Mrs George Vickerman of Tracy, Mrs Robert Milne of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Clair Turner of Canton, Earl of Canton and Ralph of Marble, Minn. There are also twenty-one grandchildren, two great-grandchildren , a brother George Bursell of Spokane, Wash., and a sister Mrs Will Baker of Hannibal, Wis.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Prosper church with Rev. Harold Fletcher of Mabel in charge, and interment was made in the Prosper cemetery beside her husband.
