NELLIE MABLE (MAE) HARRIS Mother of Harry Huish
Mae was a milliner and worked for a milliner firm until WW 1. The owner was asked to go back into the army so all of his staff went to work for the Hudson's Bay. Mae later became a cashier in the notions department. She was a member of the First Babtist Church where she met Frances (frank) Charles Huish. He walked her home after winning a coin toss.
Mae and Frank married in 1923. Frank worked as an elevator boy at the Hudson's Bay. He then got a job with the Canadian Pacific Railway where he worked as a freight handler. He then became an inspector.
Mae and Frank lived in Calgary until they retired and the moved to White Rock, B.C. where they lived in a Rectory.Frank worked as the Church caretaker at the White Rock Babtist Church where Mae's brother, Joe, was the Pastor. They later moved into a seniors apartment and in 1977 moved back to Calgary. They lived in an apartment and later at a Seniors Lodge.
Frank died February 20, 1984 at the age of 85. Mae carried on and enjoyed many wonderful cruises starting at age 88. She traveled to Acapulco, Mexico. At age 89 she went through the Panama Canal and finally at age 90 she went to Alaska.
Mae died of cancer January 20,1990 at the age of 92.

Nellie married Francis Charles Huish, son of Henry (Harry) Huish and Lily Ann Taylor, on 17 Jul 1923.¹³⁷¹ (Francis Charles Huish was born on 25 Oct 1899 in Blaenavon, South Wales,^{1371,1993,1995} died in 1984 in Calgary, AB ²⁰⁰⁴ and was buried in Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta.)
