In the name of God amen I William Moffitt of Randolph County in the province of North Carolina being weak in body but perfect in senses and memory do make this my last will & testament.
I leave unto my daughter Naomi Mackie three pounds.
I leave unto my daughter Catherine Cox three pounds.
I leave unto my daughter Hannah Cox three pounds.
I leave unto my son Robert Moffitt the land I bought of William Cox containing two hundred & fifty acres. The Deed bearing Date one thousand seven hundred and Seventy Three, accepting the new field that is cleared upon the River to his mother during her life.
I leave unto my son William Moffitt the plantation I now live upon containg two hundred and twenty five acres reserving to his mother the one half of the Meadow and the one half of the Orchard & the third part of the Other Buildings during her lifetime or Widdowhood.
I leave unto my daughter Margarett Moffitt two cows & two calves, one heiffer & one ------ in Sheep. & three pounds, Bed & Bedding and household furniture as the other girls got.
I leave unto my son David Moffitt my land upon Tibs Run containing one hundred and thirty acres and the whole waggon Irons? that was brought from Pig River & the Desk at his mothers pleasure & two cows & two calves & one Steer & the one fourth part of the lot in Cambleton? in Cumberland County & one fourth of the copper kettle & one --? & my largest bible & one third of the hundred acres of land I own in the pines. If the above mentioned lot is sold before David is of age he is to receive the forth part of its value & Kettle also. I also leave the hundred acres of land betwixt? on the Lo--fe? mountains to Robert Moffitt twenty five acres & to my son William Moffitt seventy five acres & also Robert & William each of them the one third of the hundred acres I own in the pines.
I leave unto my loving wife Mary Moffitt waggon & wagon gecrs? & Still & the whole Plantation Utentials & household furnishings and horses & cattle & sheep & hoggs.
It is is my will if my son David Moffitt dies before he is of age or without a lawfull heir, that his brothers Robert Moffitt & William Moffitt should share his property allowing their sisters each fifteen pounds.
I hereby constitute and appoint my loving wife Mary Moffit Executrix and my son Robert Moffitt Executor of this my last will & testament hereby revoking and dissannuling? all former wills and testaments in Witness thereof to all and every part of the above said will & testament I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 13 day of March 1790.

Last Will and Testament of David Moffitt dated 6th day of May, 1854,
I, David Moffitt of the County of Boone and State of Indiana, do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament. & revoking all former wills heretofor made.
1st, I give and bequeth to Rachael Moffitt my daughter three head of cattle, one milch cow and two young ones and five good sheep.
2nd, I give to Joshua, Abel and Silas Moffitt to each five good sheep, and three head of cattle, one milch cow and two young ones.
3rd, I give and bequeth to Rachael Moffitt my daughter nine hundred dollars in money.
4th, I give to Mary Cox my daughter Eight hundred dollars in money.
5th, I give to Abel and Silas Moffitt my sons, the south west quarter of section Eight? Town? nineteen (19) north of Range two West in Boone County State of Indiana, one hundred and sixty acres and also the sum of four hundred dollars in money.
6th, I give to Silas H. Barker the sum of six hundred dollars, said money to be payable to the guardian of the said Silas H. Barker and the interest thereof to be applied to his (the said Silas's) maintenance until he arrives at the age of twenty one years of age. And if the said Silas H. Barker should die before he arrives at the age of twenty one, said sum of six hundred dollars to revert to my heirs at law.
7th, I give and bequeth to my beloved wife Rachael Moffitt after the payment of all my just debts all the remainder of my Stocks, choses? in action, notes, money and personal property of all kinds in fee simple to be used and disposed of as she desires. Also all the remainder of my real estate not there in above disposed of, to be used for her sole benefit as long as she remains my widow, but in the event of her death or marriage, said real estate to be equally divided among my children and grand children and to belong to my children and grand children in fee simple.
Also, I hereby empower my said wife at any time during her said widowhood to sell and convey in fee simple all the real estate above bequethed to her, at her own discretion, and reinvest the proceeds thereof in other real estate for the benefit of my said children and grand children as above directed, and to be used as desired in the same manner as the original estate would have done had it not been sold, And I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Rachael Moffitt sole executor of my last will and testament and direct that she not be required to give any security for the performance of this trust, and that she take no oath or affirmation for the performance of this trust, and that she not be required to file any inventory of my real or personal estate, that she not be required to make any sale or return thereof and that she not be required to make any settlement with the f----? court.
On testimony of which I have hereto set my hand and seal this 6th day of May, A.D. 1854
