Kirriemuir is located in Alberta , Canada, approximately 10 minutes west of Altario . It is located along Highway 12 , at an elevation of 730 meters (2,395 ft).
The settlement includes a hall, a store, a playground, and two ball diamonds. This small town is a large centre for children to participate on softball teams during the summer months.

Mary married Duncan Anderson, son of John Anderson and Margaret Gillanders, about 1882 in ON. (Duncan Anderson was born on 13 Aug 1859 in Douro Twp, ON,³ ⁴ died on 11 Feb 1933 in Calgary, AB ⁵ and was buried in Kirriemuir Cemetary, Alberta.)
