"My mom was 2 years old when my grandfather died, I doubt if she even knows where my grandfather is buried (possibly somewhere near Vermilion AB)? My grandfather took his own life, and apparently was a heavy drinker/gambler. My grandmother took sick and died a few years before my grandfather died. The pressure of raising all those children (at that particular time in history), coupled with his drinking problem, drove him to end his life. All of my mom's siblings were raised by other family members (aunts and uncles)."
