  General Notes:

My dad (Spencer Dyson) grew up on a ranch just outside of Calgary in Midnapore which has now been swallowed up by the city. I remember when I was quite young and we came to Calgary to visit Aunt Nora and Uncle Ian that he drove us out to where the ranch was. I know that my dad (Spencer Dampier Dyson ) as a child, lived in a town called Zeerust but I don't know if it was a military or administrative post.
