Memorable Manitobans: Ada Borradaile Chipman (?-1913) Wife of Clarence Campbell Chipman, Commissioner of the Hudson's Bay Company, lived in Winnipeg from 1890 to 1910 when her husband retired and moved to England. She was the organizing president of the Western Art Association in1907, a women's art association. She organized the Rupert's Land diocesan branch of the Mothers' Union in 1909, supported anti-tuberculosis campaigns, and aided patients at Ninette Sanatarium. She died in London, England, October 1913.
