Letter from Murial Scott to James C. Anderson,

Swan River, Man.
Jan 14, 1988

Dear James,
Thank you for the kind letter and for your findings about the Hanson ancestors. Are you interested in the Kristian Hanson descendants?
Kristian (Christian) Hanson and his four sons filed on homesteads in the Rose Valley area in 1910. His four sons were Helmer, George, Henry and Alfred. A daughter Clara Hanson stayed in the States and married John Eggum and lived in Sydney Montana U.S. A son still lives there.
My grandfather was Jacob Hanson. I got to know him quite well as he farmed 6 miles north of Preeceville and we lived a mile away. Qite (sic) a few Hansons, Larsons lived there. Also Homeys and us (the Andrew Johnson family) as my mom was Gusta Hanson. Her only sister married a Johnson (not related to my Dad). They died while their children wer very young. They were raised by Elling and Mary Hanson (Marvin and Clara)

Muriel Scott, Box 44, Swan River, Man.
