Mrs. Howard Westerhouse 1970

Mrs. Howard [Nellie] Westerhouse 66, of 135 2nd Ave. No. Onalaska, died in a local rest home Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 13. She was born March 26, 1904 near Mindoro. Before her illness she had been active in the YWCA and La Crosse Hospital Guild, of which she had served as President. She also was active in 4-H work.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace [Nancy] Tolvstad of Onalaska and Mrs. Virgil [ Barbara] Thompson of Cottonwood, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin [Marion] Fauska of Kendall and Mrs. Perry [Olga] Musselman of Canada; three brothers, Levi Dahlby of La Crosse, Chester of Holmen and LeRoy of Blair, and four grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 P. M. in Onalaska United Methodist Church. Rev. Roger Gustafson will officiate and burial will be in Onalaska Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dickinson Caledonia Street Chapel Thursday after 4 P. M. and at the church from 12:30 until the service.

Memorials may be given to Onalaska United Methodist Church.

Nellie married Howard L. Westerhouse, son of Garrett Westerhouse and Anna Mulder, on 8 Jun 1926 in Onalaska twp, La Crosse, Wisconsin.¹ ² (Howard L. Westerhouse was born on 4 May 1902 in New Amsterdam, Wis, died on 15 Aug 1977 in Onalaska twp, La Crosse, Wisconsin ⁶ and was buried on 18 Aug 1977 in Onalaska twp, La Crosse, Wisconsin ⁸.)
