Sometime after the death of her husband James Andrew Anderson in Saskatchewan, grandmother Jennie came to live with my parents Earl and Inez Anderson in Kelowna, B.C. It was not an easy relationship, however, and upon the recommendation of her doctor, Jennie eventually was placed in an extended care facility in Coquitlam, B.C. where she passed away in 1964. From my memories as a young boy , I can still visualize my grandmother with her ear to our old radio set as she focused on the evangelistic gospel of the times, eyes closed, her head nodding and her lips moving to the rhetoric of an invisible preacher. ..
